About The Digihealth Academy

The term Digihealth is from the words “Digital Health“, which describes an upcoming multi-disciplinary field that converges digital and information and communication technologies with healthcare, public health, health and well-being. Common examples include electronic health record systems, telehealth and telemedicine, mobile health and wearables, virtual and augmented reality, big data analytics and artificial intelligence, and the Internet-of-Healthcare-Things (IoHT), among others. The ultimate goal of digital health is to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of healthcare delivery.

Multi-disciplinary communications and collaborations are key to a successful and sustainable digital health ecosystem. The Digihealth Academy aims to merge the technical and clinical by being a bridge to ensure that digital health innovations have an appropriate evidence base, as well as to impart the knowledge and skills needed for those who are interested in getting into this broad and exciting field.
